Alternative Body Adornment Taster
In conjunction with Creativity and Wellbeing week creativityandwellbeing.org.uk/region/east-of-england/ Monday 20th May, 10am-11.30 Booking Deadline 13th May Cost £10 Tutor: verity newman A taster session for the Alternative body adornment course coming up at Artpocket, which will guide students through how to make experimental jewellery pieces using simple, everyday materials and immersive processes. During the taster session you will make a bracelet using recycled paper, plastic and natural materials. All materials will be provided. |

Alternative Body Adornment
Begins 2nd June Mondays, 10am-12noon 6 week course £150 Tutor: verity newman This is a fun and experimental course that will guide students through how to make personal jewellery pieces for the body using simple, everyday materials and immersive processes. Each session will explore different materials and their properties, including paper, textiles, plastics, beads, found and natural materials. We will investigate the formal elements and consider conceptual ideas when working, in order to create personal, yet wearable, art forms. Most materials and tools will be provided, but students will be provided with a list of suggested equipment to bring. |

Paper Poppies Workshop
27th April 2024, 10am - 1pm £40 per person (all materials, tea, coffee and homemade cake included.) Tutor: Meg Lowder A beginners half day course with the aim of giving you the opportunity to come along and try your hand at paper flower making, see if you like it and hopefully grow a new flourishing hobby! Meg will guide you through each stage of the flower, showing you how to make your very own exquisite paper poppy to take home. These workshops are designed to be fun! Students are often surprised at what they can create in such a short time, and find sitting alongside others crafting with their hands brings a lovely sense of calm and relaxation. A beautiful workshop for those wanting to try something new, make new friends, and for those who love a slice of homemade cake! Please bring reading glasses if you wear them suitable for 16+ |
